Private Lessons
Ben Crino is a purposeful, communicative and patient guitar instructor with 6 years of private student experience and over 8 years of performance experience on a professional level. Along with consistent study and performances in Jazz music, he also has a substantial background in playing Hip hop, R&B, Jazz fusion, rock, pop as well as studio experience in all of these genres. Ben's experience as a performer along with his experience as a dedicated private teacher has allowed him to create a unique teaching approach that will give his students a strong foundation in technique that is balanced with a cultural and emotional approach to music. All ages, skill levels and preferred genres welcome!! Ben offers FaceTime/Zoom lessons as well as in-person lessons.

In Ben's past 6 years of private studio teaching, has has had a consistent studio of 15-25 students ranging from the ages of 7 to 65.

Flexible Scheduling
7 days a week availability from 11am to 9pm. As a professional musician, Ben is very flexible with days and times and is happy to find a time that is best for every student
College Audition Preparation
A main focus of Ben's teaching has been preparing students at the high school level for college auditions. This includes private lessons, recording audition tapes with students and helping facilitate the decision process upon college acceptance.

Ben is very personable and likes to connect with each student's style of learning for the best retention. He has been working with myself and my son (pre-teen) for several years now. My son and I have very different levels of experience and musical styles, and Ben is able to switch and modify his lesson between the both of us with very positive results. We always look forward to our lessons!

Learning to improvise is way more than learning theory, its not exactly something you can do just by studying. Ben is an incredible teacher because he is able to remember what it felt like to first be working through the jungle of how to actually make music on the fly - HOW to think, WHEN to think. Our lessons have produced the fastest growth I’ve ever seen in myself musically, and I’ve played the guitar for 17 years. Ben is a problem solver and can intuit any mental barrier you have and help guide you around it. Eureka moments that used to be yearly are now monthly.
